The Internet and its use as a communication tool is something that Shoghi Effendi, the Guardian of the Bahá’í Faith, foresaw in the early part of the 20th century:
…”a mechanism of world intercommunication … embracing the whole planet, freed from national hindrances and restrictions, and functioning with marvellous swiftness and perfect regularity.”
It is this ‘world embracing’ feature of internet communications that inspired bahaijournal.com. Owing to a great deal of encouragement from readers, together with the ever-increasing demand for Bahá’í material online, bahaijournal.com has organically developed into what it is today, a blog about the Bahá’í Faith that contains snippets from the web, news and other blogs, as well as offering a glimpse into the lives of individuals and communities.
From the outset, it should be clear to visitors of this site that this remains an individual initiative and as such, the views and opinions expressed on it, unless otherwise indicated, are merely those of the author and not necessarily that of the Baha’i Faith.
